By adding or withdrawing power, we can ensure a stable grid when the sun is not shining, and the wind is not blowing. When we as customers produce and store energy – for example from our solar panels, and batteries – we can make the collective energy available to the grid. They have been a liability rather than an asset to the balance of the electricity grid - but with Virtual Power Plants, this will be solved and customers will get rewarded for contributing - we call it Sun Rewards. Renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, have not been able to help the grid stay balanced as they have uneven production. A big shout out to the Svea Solar team that has been working on this for a long time □ A fully renewable energy system is now possible - a big milestone for us as a company, for our customers, and for society at large. I’m extremely happy to share that we are launching Virtual Power Plants. Tier 1 Telecom Provider Reduces Fuel Costs by 90% with Solar & Storage to Meet ESG Goals #solarpower #renewables #solarenergy #renewableenergy #energystorage #batteries #cleanenergy #offgrid #climatetech #powerelectronics #solarpv #cleantech #esg #sustainability #greentech #greenenergy The telecom company was able to mitigate its cellular tower’s reliance on two AC diesel generators, allowing it to meet ESG goals - all while maintaining 99.5% reliability. The tower’s remote location in Northern Manitoba’s arctic conditions added to the appeal of using renewable energy, which does not require refueling or time consuming maintenance. A Tier 1 telecom provider’s critical cell tower in Canada recently reduced fuel costs by 90% in addition to significantly cutting its carbon emissions thanks to Apeiron Energy’s Remote Integrated Arctic Solar solution (ARIAS®️), Polarium batteries, Charge Solar, Qcells North America solar panels, & Morningstar TriStar Charge Controllers.
